Hi everyone, well I haven't quite made it to posting on (at least) a weekly basis but not too far out so will try even harder to keep my word for the rest of the year!
Okay, so here we go - the 'mission' (if you chose to accept it) was to use white on white with the only colour being a printed or stamped and hand coloured topper etc and/or sentiment allowed. Hopefully, I've managed it!
A 16"x16" sheet of white Centura Pearl (CP) was used to make an 8" square tent (fold at the top) base card, just inside the hand pricked edge I embossed a single line border for detail then, from the same card sheet, cut a 7.5" (approx), scallop edged square to co-ordinate with the Spellbinders 'Classic Scalloped Hearts' die used for the aperture. This 'mat' was embossed using the 8" Regency Swirl Embossalicious folder before removing the actual cutting die - not done this previously but will definitely be again! (True crafter that I am the heart-shaped 'die-cut' has been saved for another project, most probably the box for this one!).
The red rose image was printed from one of my MCS Cd's and printed onto parchment paper having added a 'canvas' texture, which has turned out to be very realistic 'in the flesh' using my very old Adobe PSE (graphics program) and then positioned on the flat base card to show through the heart-shaped aperture I'd cut. Tiny flowers I'd made from Tonic's 'Kendell' and 'Ava' punches using white CP paper with Spellbinders 'Bitty Blossoms' leaves cut from CP white card scraps were added to the side of the heart, and the Victorian Romance Flourish die by Cheery Lynn (with a little 'adjustment') provided the elegant 'fronds' to this embellishment. To finish off I made a tiny book using my Silhouette Cameo for the text (Sakura Gel Pen) and to cut the silk effect cover and vellum pages, added a narrow red ribbon 'bookmark' and there we have it!
Thanks for popping by, take care
