Hi everyone, hope you're beginning to enjoy some better weather, we've been lucky enough to see a little sunshine here in the North East; it's still a bit chilly but seeing the sun definitely helps! My heart goes out to all who've been affected by flooding and such like and hope that things are beginning to improve for you.
Here's a card I made for a friendly little challenge I try to enter each month...
Base card is pale blue satin finish card that I embossed about 3/4 of the way across using the Embossalicious 'Lattice' folder, then trimmed where the embossing ended with blue satin ribbon (I used two strips side by side as it was very narrow and added a silver peeloff border to cover the join) I sanded the raised design to give a bit of extra texture. Silver Mirri card and Spellbinders 'Fleur de Lys' die provided the fancy edged mat for my Hunkydory 'Swans' topper and Cheery Lynn's 'Victorian Romance Flourish' (again from mirri card) gave me the base for the Wild Orchid Pale Blue Wild Roses (extra leaves added cut from pearlescent paper and Spellbinders die). To finish it off I trimmed the sentiment (same sheet as the topper) and added a mirri card mat then curled it over my fingers to shape it before adding it to the card with Collall Glue Gel to support the curves. My card didn't win the challenge but I think it's quite peaceful and calming.... how about you?
I hope to be back with something more to show you very soon, until then take care and stay safe!
